Hacktex project, an initiative funded by the Erasmus+ program from the European Union, is organising a training intensive course to students from several European universities to get to know what smart textiles are about and how to manage them within markets. A wide activity program is scheduled, including visits to companies, a hackathon (development of protoypes through small groups) and much more.
This initiative aims to enhance new generations of professionals with the proper tools to manage the newly and determinant challenges that the European textile sector is facing nowadays.
This is why this bootcamp is preceded by a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), a virtual training that students have had to do so the organisers would be sure the basic knowledge is acquired. This structure has been developed by the Hacktex consortium to facilitate its own assesment and improve the replication guarantees.
