Last Friday, March 24th, Hacktex consortium met for their monthly steering committee, virtually.
The SC meeting are previewd since the beginning of the project to ensure a smooth communication among partners: to take immediate decisions, to update the partnership with the last progresses and to solve any possible issue emerged since the previous meeting.
At this meeting, TUIASI, the Project Coordinator gave an overview to the rest of the partnership about the tasks and guidelines regarding the next Interim Report to be delivered to the European Comission.
Further than that, partners discussed about the current ongoing R2 – Virtual training program as a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), which UNIWA and UPC play the role as leader and co-leader respectly. This online course is focused on smart textiles and are composed by several topics divided in lessons, that are being developed by the High Education Instititions of the consortium (UNIWA, UPC, UB and TUIASI). The MOOC will be launched in the upcoming months, before the training activity that will take place in Boras and will involve students from the mentioned partners.
This training activity, which is actually the R3 – Industrial smart textiles bootcamp for intensive course, is being leaded by UB and its program (content, hands-on concept activities,…) is currently under development.
Also, partners involved in the R4 – Virtual methodological guide focused on smart textiles entrepreneurship updated the rest of the consortium about how this part is being defined. This guide is expected to be a tool that helps specialists and students understand the market, giving them the basic tools to develop a business in manufacturing or in R&D for smart textiles. The guide will offer students and other external users helpful tips and industrial challenges that need to be faced in the smart textiles sector.
Finally, Cre.Thi.Dev. and AEI Tèxtils updated all partners with quality and dissemination information and guidelines for the upcoming month.
